How it works
Your period records, symptoms, notes and all health data are stored only on your device, protected by iOS hardware-backed file encryption. They are never sent to our servers.
The only things stored on the server are your account, the username you chose and the content you post in the forum.
How predictions are calculated
- Average cycle length is a weighted mean of your last six cycles; recent cycles carry more weight.
- Ovulation is placed 14 days before the next expected period.
- The fertile window opens 5 days before ovulation and closes 1 day after.
- The PMS window is the last 5 days before your period.
- The regularity score is derived from the standard deviation of your last six cycles.
Important: These predictions are statistical. Gepu is not a contraceptive and must not be used to prevent pregnancy.
