The service
Radarvar is a driving aid that shows traffic-enforcement and road-hazard information compiled from publicly available sources and user reports. The service is provided "as is"; there is no guarantee that the information is complete, up to date or correct.
User reports
Only report what you have actually seen. Misleading, fake or malicious reports, automated use of the app and abuse of the system are prohibited. Radarvar reserves the right to hide or delete such content.
Purchase
Radarvar is purchased from the App Store for a one-time price; there are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. All features are included in the price. Payment, refunds and Family Sharing are subject to Apple's terms. Use of the app is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
Liability
Obeying traffic laws is the driver's responsibility. Radarvar cannot be held liable for traffic fines, accidents or damages resulting from decisions based on information the app showed or did not show. You are responsible for complying with the laws of the country where you use the app; in Germany, using camera warnings while driving is prohibited (§ 23 (1c) StVO). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Data licences
Base maps belong to Apple Maps. Camera locations sourced from OpenStreetMap are © OpenStreetMap contributors and licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Australian (New South Wales) camera locations: Transport for NSW, licensed under CC BY 4.0. United States (Chicago): City of Chicago Data Portal.
Disclaimer
What Radarvar does and does not do
Radarvar is not a radar detector. Your phone does not detect any radar or laser signal, and the app does not interfere with or block enforcement devices. It only shows locations compiled from publicly available sources and user reports, and informs you as you approach them.
Safe driving is your responsibility
Obeying traffic laws, speed limits and road signs is always the driver's responsibility. Speed limits and enforcement information shown in the app may be incomplete, delayed or wrong; road signs always take precedence. Do not hold your phone or interact with the screen while driving; make reports when stopped or through a passenger.
Local laws
You are responsible for complying with the laws of the country where you use the app. In some countries the use of speed camera warnings is restricted. In Germany, drivers must not use an app that warns of speed cameras while driving (§ 23 (1c) StVO): turn voice alerts off and do not use the app for camera warnings there. By using Radarvar you accept these terms.
