Which countries are covered?
Türkiye, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, the United States and Australia. Camera data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and official open data; coverage varies by region.
Do I get alerts with the screen locked?
Yes. With Background alerts turned on in Settings, alerts continue while the screen is locked and while you use another app — no navigation needed. iOS shows the location indicator at the top of the screen meanwhile.
Miles or kilometres?
Radarvar uses mph and miles in the United States and the United Kingdom and km/h elsewhere. You can change this in Settings › Speed unit.
A camera is missing or wrong
Tap the camera on the map and choose to flag it. You can also add and correct cameras on OpenStreetMap; the app's data is updated regularly.
Community reports
Tap the report button on the map to report a mobile speed trap, police check, accident or hazard. Sending reports and votes requires iCloud to be signed in. When you pass a report, Radarvar asks whether it is still there; it is removed after three drivers answer no. Delete everything you sent in Settings › My data.
Germany
In Germany, drivers must not use camera warnings while driving (§ 23 (1c) StVO). Turn voice alerts off there.
