Privacy Policy
Short version: Quest Notes does not collect, sell or share your personal data. We cannot see your notes.
Who we are
Quest Notes (“the app”) is published by Gepgo (“we”, “us”). If you have any question about this policy, contact us at support.gepgo@gmail.com.
Data we collect
None. The app has no user accounts and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software. We do not run servers that receive your notes.
Where your notes are stored
- On your device. Notes, labels, drawings, photos, voice recordings and scanned documents are stored locally inside the app on your iPhone or iPad.
- In your iCloud Drive (optional). If you turn on iCloud Drive Backup in Settings, a copy of your notes and attachments is saved to the Quest Notes folder in your personal iCloud Drive. This storage is provided by Apple under your Apple Account and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to it. You can turn the backup off at any time and delete the folder in the Files app.
Permissions
The app asks for access only when you use a feature that needs it. You can change these choices at any time in iOS Settings.
- Camera – to scan documents. Images stay in your note.
- Microphone – to record voice notes. Recordings stay in your note.
- Photos – to add pictures or create PDFs from the photos you pick. Only the photos you select are read.
- Face ID / Touch ID – to unlock locked notes. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never available to the app.
- Notifications – to deliver the reminders you set. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
Text recognition
When you scan a document, the text on the pages is recognised on your device with Apple’s Vision framework so that you can search for it. Nothing is uploaded.
Sharing
Notes leave the app only when you choose to share or export them (for example as a PDF), using the iOS share sheet. Where they go is up to you.
Purchases
Quest Notes is a paid app sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Support emails
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and we delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
