Privacy Policy

What stays on your phone and what leaves it

In short: DrawTune does not collect any personal data. It has no account, does not connect to our servers, and uses no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking tools. Everything you make stays on your device.

Data stored on your device

DataWhy
Drawings and settings (tempo, key, instruments, rhythm)So your canvases are there when you come back
Gallery pieces, including the title and name you typeBecause you saved them
Photos you choose as a canvas backgroundTo show them behind your drawing
Your “my sound” recordingUp to three seconds you recorded or picked from a file, so you can draw with it; replaced when you record again and removed with “Delete my sound”
Music files you openRead from the file you pick to draw its melody or make it your sound; the file itself is not copied or kept
Recordings and videosCreated only when you tap record or share as video, and handed to the share sheet; removed from the app the next time you open it or record again
The widget pictureA small picture and title of your latest piece, kept in a shared folder on your device so the widget can show it

This data is stored only on your device, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you delete the app.

Permissions

DrawTune asks for one permission: the microphone, and only when you open “Hum a melody” or “My sound”. For humming, the app measures the pitch of what it hears and draws it as a line; that sound is analysed as it arrives and then discarded. For “My sound”, the few seconds you record are kept in the app's own folder on your device so you can draw with them. Nothing is ever sent anywhere. You can say no and use the rest of the app normally.

Audio files are opened with Apple's system file picker, which gives the app only the file you choose.

Photos are picked with Apple's system photo picker, which gives the app only the photo you select — not access to your library. The camera, location, contacts, health data and the advertising identifier are not used. Recordings capture the app's own sound, not your microphone.

iCloud sync (version 1.1 and later)

If you are signed in to iCloud, your gallery pieces (the drawing and its sound settings, not your photos) are kept in your own iCloud account using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so they appear on your other devices. We cannot see or access this data; it is covered by Apple's privacy policy. To turn it off, go to iOS Settings → your name → iCloud and switch off DrawTune.

Internet

Apart from iCloud sync, the app works fully offline and does not send data over the internet. Links on the About screen (support, privacy, terms, email) open outside the app in Safari or Mail.

Sharing

Recordings, videos and links are shared only when you choose to, through the iOS share sheet, to the person or app you pick. What happens next is governed by that app or service.

Shared links contain the drawing itself, packed into the part of the address after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a web server, so when someone opens the link on gepgo.com the drawing is not transmitted to or stored by us; the page only offers to open it in the app. Anyone who has the link can open the drawing, so share it only with people you choose.

Purchases

You buy DrawTune from Apple on the App Store. Payment details stay with Apple and never reach us; purchase records are covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Children

DrawTune collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there are no records to access or transfer; we still answer requests under GDPR and KVKK within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will announce it with an app update.
