By downloading or using MilGPS you accept Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) and these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Licence
MilGPS is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple's Standard EULA as a personal, non-transferable licence. These terms supplement that agreement; where they conflict, Apple's Standard EULA prevails.
The service
MilGPS is sold as a one-time purchase on the App Store and contains no subscriptions, ads or in-app purchases. Apple handles payment, invoices and refunds; request refunds from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We may develop, change or withdraw the app.
Safety notices
MilGPS is a navigation aid. It is not a certified navigation device and must not be relied on alone for aviation, marine navigation or life-critical decisions.
- GPS accuracy depends on satellite visibility, terrain, buildings, weather and the device; the position shown can be wrong.
- Map, terrain, peak, hut and water data come from third parties and may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Verify trails, huts and water sources on the ground.
- Slope/avalanche shading shows slope angle only and is not an avalanche forecast. Follow official avalanche bulletins.
- The storm warning is a rough indicator based on pressure change, not a weather forecast.
- Hiking times and the suggested turnaround time are estimates; fitness, load, weather and ground change the result.
- The SOS screen does not guarantee that you will reach emergency services; 112 may not work in every country and there may be no signal.
- Background track recording and keeping the screen awake drain the battery; carry spare power.
- Always carry a paper map, a compass and the skills to use them in the field.
No official affiliation
MilGPS is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any armed forces, NATO, government agency or Apple. Names such as MGRS and UTM are used only to describe coordinate systems.
Third-party map data
Maps and terrain data come from providers with their own terms (see Licenses & Attributions). Bulk area downloads are enabled only for sources that allow them. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any custom map source you add and any MBTiles files you import.
What you must not do
- Overload map providers' servers with automated tools or breach their terms
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others
Your content is yours
The waypoints, routes, tracks and photos you create belong to you and stay on your device; we claim no rights to them. We recommend keeping a separate backup (for example a GPX export) of anything valuable.
Liability
The app is provided “as is”, without any warranty that it will run uninterrupted or error-free, or that maps and positions will be accurate.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for accidents, injury, getting lost, data loss or indirect damages arising from use of the app. This limitation does not cover intent or gross negligence.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we will say so with an app update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
